How to pass verification

The verification is a documentary confirmation of clients’ personal information and an essential part of the trading account registration procedure at RoboMarkets. The verification procedure takes up to 2 business days.

To complete the verification procedure, you have to confirm your identity (the passport verification) and your actual residence or address (the address verification).

Bank card and phone number verification is not obligatory for starting trading activity, but may be required for operations with RoboMarkets accounts.

Requirements

1. You have to specify your personal information and attach a digital copy of the document to a special form of your Members Area.

2. The document can be captured by means of:

  • Scanner
  • Photo camera
  • Web camera
  • Mobile phone

3. Your full name, photo, date of birth, document serial number and issuing authority, the date of issue, and the validity period of the document must be clearly seen and easily read on the images.

4. We don’t accept documents, if they expire in less than three months after the sent date.  

5. Up to 4 files with the document images can be attached to the verification application form.

6. The following file formats are supported – bmp, gif, jpg, jpeg, pdf, png, the size is up to 4,096 Kb.

7. Only full-color images of the documents are accepted.

8. The images of the documents edited in graphics editors are not accepted.

9. If it is necessary to add some extra graphic symbols (for example, "For RoboMarkets"), it can be done on a separate piece of paper by placing this piece of paper near the document when scanning it (all information on the document has to be clearly seen).

Documents

To confirm your actual residence or address, you can provided ANY OF THE DOCUMENTS listed below, in case it’s not older than 6 months (the exception list can be found in art. 4 of the requirements):

Real estate: Property deed, mortgage loans certificate, bill of sale, hypothecation, lease agreement.

Public utilities: electricity bills, water supply bills, landline phone bills, gas bills, security services bills, letters/notifications from Managing Companies and other Housing and Public Utilities authorities, mobile phone bill, subscription TV bill.

You can also provide utility bills addressed to your spouse, but in this case, you have to provide a marriage certificate as well.

Documents in a state-approved format

Banking service: statement of your valid bank account or your payment (credit or debit) card.

RoboMarkets clients have to provide an additional document:

  • Driving license
  • International passport
    (if you provided your national passport for the passport verification)
  • National passport
    (if you provided your international passport for the passport verification)
  • Car registration certificate (if it contains the address)

Requirements

1. You have to specify your personal information and attach a digital copy of the document to a special form of your Members Area.

2. The document can be captured by means of:

3. Your full name, your actual residence or address, and the date on which the document was compiled photo must be clearly seen and easily read on the images.

4. The document must be not older than 6 months. Exceptions: registration.

5. The confirming document must be certified by the signature and the seal of the authority, which issued it (the barcode is enough for bills for housing and public utilities services) or written/printed on a letterhead.

6. Up to 2 files with the document images can be attached to the verification application form.

7. The following file formats are supported – bmp, gif, jpg, jpeg, pdf, png, the size is up to 4,096 Kb.

8. The document provided for the address verification is valid for one year or until its expiry date, in case it has any.

9. Only full-color images of the documents are accepted.

10. The images of the documents edited in graphics editors are not accepted.

11. If it is necessary to add some extra graphic symbols (for example, "For RoboMarkets"), it can be done on a separate piece of paper by placing this piece of paper near the document when scanning it (all information on the document has to be clearly seen).

What is the SMS verification for?

SMS verification is a confirmation of your mobile phone number. Thanks to the SMS verification, you will be able to enable one or several services to help you to enhance the security of personal information and funds in your Members Area.


Services

Attention! All 3 services are absolutely free for RoboMarkets clients.

  1. Sending SMS confirmation code for funds transfer or withdrawal.
  2. Sending SMS about authorization in your Members Area.
  3. Confirmation of authorization in your Members Area using the code sent in SMS.

Instructions

  1. Login to your RoboMarkets "Members Area " and choose "SMS Verification " page from "Profile " section.

  2. Enter your mobile phone number in international format and click "Confirm ".

  3. The confirmation code will be sent to your number. Enter the confirmation code you received and click "Confirm ".

  4. After passing the SMS verification, you’ll have an opportunity to enable one or several SMS services. Click the services you’re interested in and click "Confirm ".

  5. The confirmation code will be sent to your number. Enter the confirmation code you received in the required field and click "Confirm ".

After completing all necessary actions, the SMS services you chose will be enabled.

Bank card verification

What is the Bank card verification for?

If you want to withdraw funds from your account to a Bank card, you may have to verify it. This security measure was introduced for providing additional security of funds on your trading account and preventing possible fraud.

The Bank card verification is not an obligatory procedure, but may be requested by the Company’s Payment department when you withdraw funds. To save time in the future, we recommend you to verify the Bank card in advance.


How to pass the Bank card verification?

The verification procedure is very simple. You have to upload the images of face and back of your card to a special form in your Members Area.

1. The document can be captured by means of:

  • Scanner
  • Photo camera
  • Web camera
  • Mobile phone

2. On the face of the card, hide all digits of card identification number between the first six and the last four.

Start of trading without the verification

RoboMarkets clients have the right to deposit funds to their real accounts and start trading without passing the complete verification. In this case, a client automatically accepts the following Conditions of provision of this service:

  1. The total deposit without the verification is limited to 2,000 EUR (or the equivalent in other currencies).
  2. Without the verification, funds can be deposited to an account only via bank transfer or a bank card, which belongs to the account owner.
  3. Funds cant’ be withdrawn without the verification.
  4. Client assumes an obligation to pass the complete verification within 12 days after they deposited funds to a non-verified account for the first time.
  5. If a client doesn’t pass the complete verification within specified time limits, within three calendar days the Company will have to:
    • Close all open positions in a client’s accounts.
    • Block client’s access to trading.
    • Withdraw funds from a client’s accounts to the payment details, where they were deposited from.
    • Terminate the Client agreement with a client.
  6. The Company reserves the right to refuse to grant this service to a client at any time and without any given reason.

Frequently asked questions

How much time does it take to process the verification application?

Your application for any type of verification (except SMS) may be processed up to 2 business days. Actual response time depends on the total amount of received applications.

We do our best to make processing procedure as fast as possible. In most cases, your documents will be verified the same day you sent them.

What do I do if I have none of the documents for the address verification from the list?

If you don’t have required documents, you can get some of them rather quickly. For instance, statement of your bank account.

Also, we’d recommend you to read the list of the documents more carefully as you might have missed the document you have.

I’d like to open a corporate accounts. Do I have to pass the verification?

There is a special procedure of account opening and verification for corporate accounts at our Company. Information about the procedure can be found on our website.

My verification application is being processed for more than two days. Why?

The problem might be that when you sent the verification application, the files with the document images were uploaded incorrectly (for example, incorrect file format or size). As a result, the Company’s specialists haven’t received them.

Check the form of sending documents once again: if the status of your application (at the top) hasn’t been changed to "Pending verification", try to send it one more time.

Also, the verification application might have been rejected via E-mail. Check your mail box, including "Spam" folder.

If the problem still hasn’t been solved, please contact the Company’s Live Support.

Is it possible to send the documents without filling in the form in Members Area?

Yes, it is possible for the address and passport verifications. Detailed information how to send the documents without filling in the form in Members Area can be found in our instructions.

Why have I received the letter with the notification to update the document provided for the address verification?

According to the Company’s requirements published on this page and internal Regulations, the document provided by RoboForex (CY) Ltd client for the address verifications has to be updated every year since the date of the first approval.

I’ve received a paper letter with the confirmation code. What for?

This measure was introduced for higher security level of your Members Area. All you have to do is enter the code you received in a special form in your Members Area (the link is specified in the letter as well).

The requested information is stored securely, not transferred to any third parties, and not used against you. Your identity confirmation is requested only to meet the requirements of the authorities that regulate and control our business activity.
